Alida produced Henrik Ibsen's John Gabriel Borkman, presented by CalArts' School of Theater in March, 2009. John Gabriel Borkman tells the story of a turn-of-the-century family trying to forge a new path through the ruins of their past failures. The clash between generations and the tenuous grip of family loyalty provide the backdrop for a beautifully grotesque dance between the forces of death and destruction and the life-giving impulse to move forward. With movement and music, director Maureen Huskey reimagines the story in elemental, intoxicating and darkly playful ways.

Alida's duties included all publicity, marketing, and public relations for the show; including overseeing the poster design and distribution, connecting local school groups with the production, responding to media listings, and ensuring that the show was publicized in local media outlets. She also oversaw all ticketing, reservation, and box office issues; liaised with the Institute on matters pertaining to the show's place within the theater school's entire season; and worked with the rest of the design and management team to see the director's vision come to fruition.
